19 Things I've Learned In 19 Years

20:00

I've just had an existential crisis and realised I'm really really young but also I'm old and my life isn't going to get any better than this. I've also started to want to have children and have an adult career and I'm confused by it all so I'm trying to bring myself back down to Earth.

I'm also being terribly dramatic.

1
Not everybody is out to get you, but not everyone is going to be your best friend.

2
Alcohol isn't always going to be the answer to all your problems.

3
Worst case scenario, alcohol is a good answer to most of your problems.

4
It ain't all peachy keen. That's fine though.

5
Your mum doesn't always know what's best for you, but she knows how to keep you safe. LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER.

6
Spending hours upon hours binge watching Zoella isn't going to help your life whatsoever - but it's not going to hinder it.

7
When in doubt, go against your instincts. Don't let doubt stop you from taking risks!

8
Steps are always good. If you're happy - listen to Steps. If you're sad - listen to Steps.

9
Your life isn't going to be like Lizzie McGuire's but it will be better.

10
High school ends when you want it to. Don't let things that happened then get to you now. And please, don't act like you did in year 8.

11
If you don't know someone well enough to know their birthday, favourite food and middle name - their opinion really doesn't matter.

12
You're on the internet, don't get caught up. If you do, put your phone down and take a break.

13
Forgiving someone is much better than holding a grudge.

14
The Saw films really aren't worth the pain of watching people get their limbs ripped apart. Don't do it.

15
Don't let anyone take away your spotlight. Steal theirs instead.

16
Believe in yourself, even if it's hard.

17
If you want it, and work for it - it will happen.

18
Do what makes you comfortable.

19
HAVE FUN.
